Privacy Policy
DealTally is a private operating ledger. This policy explains the information we use to provide and protect the service.
Information we process
- Account information such as your name, work email, password hash, subscription and workspace membership.
- Records you enter, including clients, accounts, deals, conversions, settlements, expenses, reconciliations, audit events and evidence files you choose to attach.
- Security and technical information such as session identifiers, sign-in events, truncated or hashed network information, device details and service logs.
- Support and billing information when you contact us or subscribe to a paid plan.
How we use information
We use this information to operate DealTally, calculate and display your ledger, secure accounts, prevent abuse, provide support, administer subscriptions, improve reliability and meet lawful obligations. We do not sell personal information or use workspace financial records for advertising.
Sharing and service providers
Information is shared only with infrastructure, email, monitoring and payment providers needed to run the service, or when required by law. Workspace data is visible only to authorised members of that workspace and DealTally administrators acting for security or support.
Storage, security and retention
DealTally uses encrypted transport, access controls, isolated workspaces, protected credentials and audited administrative access. Private evidence is kept in non-public object storage, delivered only through authenticated workspace requests and checked against its recorded integrity hash when downloaded. We retain active account and workspace records while the service is used. Security, billing and immutable accounting records may be retained after account closure where needed for fraud prevention, dispute handling, backup integrity or legal obligations.
Your choices
You can update your profile, enable MFA, export your account information and request account deletion from Profile & Security. Workspace owners may need to transfer ownership before deletion. Some accounting and security records may be retained in anonymised form where deletion would break the integrity of another user's ledger.
